Alkaline Builder is used to raise the total alkalinity of swimming pool water. The total alkalinity reading is an important part of the pool water balance. Low total alkalinity can cause rapid deterioration of plaster, paint, vinyl, as well as heat exchangers, which results in iron and copper stains. This product raises total alkalinity and acts as a buffer to prevent pH “bounce.”
